Give yourself enough time prior to a golf round or match in order to get ready for it mentally and physically. Be sure to check which hole you will be teeing off from for a shotgun start and who you will be playing with. This will allow your mind to get ready and to anticipate what will happen next.
Always try to warm up by visiting the golf course practice area. Just be sure not to revise anything you are working on during your regular practice sessions. Instead, don’t view this as a practice session but rather as a warm up session without any swing thoughts. Rather, pick a target and try to hit the ball there with solid contact.
